Chasr: display your Flickr photos on your own website

Custom Search

Welcome to Chasr, a mini web application that allows you to display your photos from Flickr on your own website for absolutely free. You can download Chasr and install it on your own server, allowing your users to see your photos on your own website.

Note: Chasr is not an official product from Flickr or Yahoo!.

Requirements

In order to run Chasr, your server must meet the following requirements:

  • PHP 4.3.0 or above
  • mod_rewrite
  • MySQL (if you want to use the cache)

See Chasr running

Feel free to explore the Chasr demo. The demo helps you feel what it would be like to use Chasr to display your photos on your own website (with the default theme). Give it a try!

You can also explore my photos on my website. I use my own theme to match my site.

Installing Chasr

Installing Chasr is a three step process:

  1. Download the latest version of Chasr.
  2. Change the preferences within Chasr.
  3. Upload Chasr to your server.

But I want more than just the plain, default theme!

I want you to integrate Chasr into your own theme. Chasr comes with a theme system, and the documentation always includes the steps you need to take to upgrade to a new version.

Update to Version 2.0.2!

If you are currently running an older version of Chasr, please download the latest version of Chasr! Update instructions are included in the documentation that comes with each copy of Chasr.

Feature requests or bug reporting for Chasr

Feature requests, as well as bug reports, can be sent to chasr@chasr.org or through the contact form. I will get back to you as soon as possible, which usually means within 36 hours. Remember: if you never request a feature, it may never make it to Chasr!
